Maple Landmark & Green Mountain Taps
A Shared Passion for Quality Wood Products
Green Mountain Taps (GMT) and Maple Landmark Woodcraft (MLW), each long-standing manufacturer of custom tap handles, came together under one roof at the home of Maple Landmark in Middlebury, VT, in early 2025.
GMT was founded by Jason Gardner in Guilford, Vermont, in the late 1990s. As the business grew, in 2006, the company relocated across the river to Hinsdale, New Hampshire, where it remained until early 2025, when it became part of Maple Landmark Woodcraft and moved to Middlebury, Vermont.
Maple Landmark Woodcraft was founded by Mike Rainville in Lincoln, Vermont, in 1979. After graduating from Clarkson University, the company took real shape when Mike built the first dedicated workshop in 1984 and moved out of his mother’s greenhouse. The first tap handles came to life at MLW in the late ‘90s, around the same time as GMT.
In recent years, Mike and Jason recognized their interest in coming together under one roof, and the companies combined more than 40 years of experience in creating beautifully crafted products.
